*Note: Aji arrives in Toronto on Dec 5 and we are looking for her forever family in the GTA in Ontario.
Background: Aji was rescued in December 2023 from a city pound in Buan, Korea. Since then, she’s been living in a private shelter with other dogs, waiting for her forever home.
Personality and Socialization: Aji is a medium-energy dog with a gentle and friendly demeanor. While she may be a little shy at first, she quickly warms up and becomes affectionate and cuddly. She’s very sociable with other dogs, especially those with similar energy levels, and is well-liked by her canine friends. Aji hasn’t had any experience with cats or young children, so her comfort around them is unknown.
Behavior: Aji is an intelligent girl who learns quickly and loves to please her humans. She enjoys going on walks, though new environments might make her a bit nervous initially. Once she’s familiar with the area and settles into a routine, she will thrive. While she’s fine in the car, Aji isn’t a fan of baths but tolerates them. She can be nervous at the vet but remains well-behaved. Aji prefers to do her business outside, though she’s also excellent with indoor potty pads. When it comes to toys, she’s a bit protective—she’s okay with people handling them, but she doesn’t like when other dogs try to take them away.
Health and Diet: Aji is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite prevention and hasn’t shown any signs of allergies. She eats dry kibble twice a day.
Ideal Home: Aji is a sweet, gentle dog who thrives in a calm, relaxed environment. She would do best with a family where someone is often home to keep her company. Aji would be an excellent match for families looking to add a second dog, as she blossoms when she has a canine companion. A quiet neighborhood would suit her best, as she can be sensitive to loud noises. With her friendly and intelligent nature, Aji is sure to bring love and joy to a peaceful, caring home.
