** Note: Angko is available for adoption in Vancouver. Her flight from Korea to Vancouver is scheduled for Jan 4, 2024.
Angko’s journey began on Yeongjong Island, Korea, where she spent three years as a stray before being rescued earlier this year. Since her rescue, she has completed her treatments for Anaplasma. She is now healthy and ready for her forever home.
Currently residing at our partner boarding house, Angko is a gentle, submissive, and friendly dog. Despite her challenging situation, Angko’s adaptability makes her suitable for any home. Her friendly nature extends to other dogs, she’s not intimidated by them and gets along well with other dogs. However, she yearns for a more personal and loving environment. Her ideal happiness would be found in a home where she can enjoy daily walks and outdoor time with her family.
Angko is quiet, well-behaved, and affectionate towards people, thriving on attention and being petted. Her favorite activity is walking with her human companion, a love likely developed from her time living on the island. These walks are not just exercises for her but also a time of exploration and bonding.
A quirky and adorable trait of Angko’s is her relationship with food. She has a unique way of hiding her treats with her nose and often chooses to eat them quietly at dawn. She even burrows under blankets to keep her snacks hidden. That is why she has a little scar on her nose.
Angko is more than just a pet; she’s a companion who will bring joy and peace to your life. She would be the perfect match for someone who loves outdoor activities like hiking and jogging. A home where she isn’t left alone for long periods, perhaps with someone who works from home or is retired, would be ideal for her. Angko is waiting to share her love and companionship with a family who can provide her with the happiness and stability she deserves.
