Background: Last summer, Ben appeared at someone’s home in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, as a stray puppy around 3 months old. Hungry and covered in dirt, he was taken in by the kind family. Ben lived with them for six months before transitioning to our partner boarding house, where he now shares his days with other dogs.

Socialization and Personality: From the very beginning, Ben has been a loving and affectionate pup. He’s naturally friendly and not shy around people. He’s also been exposed to children and gets along well with them. Ben loves pleasing his humans and enjoys staying by their side.

Ben enjoys playing with other dogs, especially those that are around his size and have a friendly, playful nature. As long as the other dogs are friendly, Ben gets along great with them. He has no experience with cats.

Behavior: After his rescue, Ben spent his days alone while his foster worked. While he managed well, he does show some signs of separation anxiety, such as whining for a while when left alone. However, he has never been destructive. Ben behaves well in the car, at the vet, and during baths. He also enjoys going for walks and follows his people closely. He uses both indoor pee pads and the outdoors for his potty needs.

Health and Diet: When Ben was first rescued, he was diagnosed with parvo. Thankfully, after treatment, he made a full recovery and is now healthy and ready for his forever home. Ben has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He also receives monthly parasite prevention. Currently, he eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies.

Ideal Home: Ben would thrive in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods. A family that works from home or is retired and can spend plenty of time with him would be ideal. He would do well as either the only dog or a second dog, thanks to his sweet, gentle, and loving personality that makes him get along well with just about everyone.
