*** Note: Bokdol is currently in Korea, and we’re looking for his forever home in Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, or LA. Due to his weight, we can only fly him via Eva Air, so these are the destinations we can consider. Once he’s adopted, we will book his flight and bring him to his new home.

Background: Bokdol was rescued in the summer of 2023 from a neglectful situation where he was tied to a pole as a guard dog at a manufacturing site in a village. During the sweltering summer, with temperatures soaring above 34°C, he was left on a short leash, unable to move freely. His owner failed to feed him regularly, leaving him in rough shape and lonely. After his rescue, Bokdol spent time in a foster home before moving to our partner boarding house. He has since undergone all vet checkups and is now ready for his forever home.

Personality and Socialization: Bokdol is a friendly and loyal companion with a medium energy level. He loves people, including men, and has a laid-back, easygoing nature. When it comes to other dogs, Bokdol does well with gentle, friendly dogs but can be cautious and nervous around larger dogs his size or bigger. He may also get a bit jealous if other dogs receive more attention. Bokdol lived peacefully with cats and other dogs in his previous foster home. His favorite thing is to spend quality time with his humans.

Behavior: Bokdol enjoys walks and outdoor time, though he can get a little nervous in the car—he tolerates it but tends to drool. He’s well-behaved at the vet and during baths and grooming. So far, he hasn’t shown any destructive behavior and is quiet indoors. Bokdol is happiest when he has the freedom to roam outdoors and enjoys quiet indoor time.

Health and Diet: Bokdol has undergone all necessary medical examinations and is in good health, ready for his new family. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and receives regular parasite treatments. He currently eats dry kibble twice a day and hasn’t shown any allergies so far.

Ideal Home: Bokdol would thrive with someone experienced in handling larger dogs and who can manage him on walks: he walks well on a leash but sometimes he pulls. A quiet home with a relaxed lifestyle, preferably in a house or townhouse in a peaceful neighborhood, would be ideal. He’d be a great match for someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is looking for a loyal, loving companion to share those moments with.
