Get monthly updates about dogs like Callie and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
When Callie was found on the streets in 2017, she was only about 3 month-old and had severe skin diseases. Since being rescued, Callie has been living in a shelter with other dogs.
Callie is a little bit shy and cautious with strangers. Generally, it takes some time for her to warm up towards people. However, she is very sweet and obedient to the shelter staff and volunteers (people whom she knows): she is so happy when she gets attention.
When it comes to other dogs, she is selective. Currently, she shares her room with another Jindo who is friendly and submissive. Callie is fine with her current roommate, but she is not a big fan of other dogs.
Her ideal family is with one who lives in a house in a quiet neighborhood and has experience with dogs like Callie. She is ok with some dogs but not with all dogs. In fact, she is most happy when she is alone in a quiet environment with people only. Her favorite thing is to go for a walk with the shelter staff.
Callie is a beautiful and very loving girl who can be a great furry companion. We don’t want Callie to stay in the shelter any longer than she has been. No one in Korea wanted to give Callie a chance, but we know the perfect family is out there for her, waiting to shower her with warmth and love.
