** Note: Ceni is seeking her forever home in the GTA! Meet her at PetSmart (158 N Queen St, Toronto) on March 29. Apply now—interviews start mid-March.

Background: Ceni was rescued in the summer of 2024 from a dog meat farm in Goesan, Korea. After spending a couple of months at a different shelter, she joined our boarding house earlier this year, where she has been living with other dogs. Ceni arrives in Toronto on Mar 25.

Personality and Socialization: Ceni is a very gentle, friendly, and sociable dog who gets along with almost everyone. She loves playing with other dogs, regardless of size. She’s kind and gentle with small dogs and enjoys playing with larger dogs as well. Ceni is also pretty independent and doesn’t rely on other dogs for entertainment; she enjoys playing on her own, too.

She is easygoing and relaxed. When it comes to people, she is affectionate, friendly, and sociable, even with men and strangers. When we have visitors at the boarding house, Ceni happily greets them and shows interest in meeting new people. With a medium energy level, she is neither hyper nor needy. While affectionate and friendly, she also respects boundaries and enjoys her quiet time. Ceni has no experience with cats or young children.

Behaviour: Ceni is good on a leash and follows her human well. She is well-behaved at the vet, where the staff often compliments her for being gentle and obedient. She’s also good in the car and during bath time. Ceni prefers to potty outdoors, but if needed, she will use indoor pee pads. Overall, she is pretty easygoing and chill.

Health and Diet: When Ceni was rescued, she had heartworms, but she has since undergone treatment and is now healthy and ready for her forever home. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She is dewormed and takes monthly parasite prevention. Ceni eats kibble twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies.

Ideal Home: We’re looking for a family with a relaxed lifestyle—someone who works from home or is retired and can spend a lot of time with their dog. Ceni is a lovely girl who is smart, affectionate, and loyal to her humans. She is quiet, well-behaved, and easy to care for. Whether you’re a first-time dog parent, looking for a second dog, or even adopting a senior, Ceni will be a great match.
