Choonbom

Background: This little sweetheart has come a long way from her difficult start in life. Rescued from neglect in Giheung, Korea, Choonbom was once chained outside, left to eat scraps of human food waste, and often went without food or water. Thanks to our dedicated volunteer who worked tirelessly to secure her surrender, Choonbom’s life has taken a turn for the better. She now lives safely at our boarding house, surrounded by love and care.

Personality and Socialization: Choonbom is a gentle, bright, and affectionate girl with a medium energy level. She’s happiest when she’s near her humans and loves being part of the family. Sociable and friendly, Choonbom is not shy around strangers and enjoys interacting with others.

With other dogs, she’s calm and easygoing, preferring to play with gentle and well-mannered pups. She tends to avoid dogs who are bossy or overly energetic. While she hasn’t been around cats or young children, her gentle demeanor suggests she could adapt well to proper introductions.

Behaviours: Choonbom loves spending time outdoors and enjoys her walks. She is great in the car, making her an easy companion for outings or road trips. She is well-behaved during baths and is non-destructive in the home. While she prefers outdoor potty breaks, she will use indoor pee pads when necessary. The only thing she dislikes is being confined to a cage, as she values her freedom and comfort.

Health and Diet: Choonbom was treated for heartworms after her rescue and has since made a full recovery. She’s spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.

Her Ideal Home: Choonbom thrives in the company of her people, so her perfect home would be with someone who has plenty of time to spend with her—whether working from home or retired. She’d do well as either the only dog or as part of a pack, provided the other dogs are calm and respectful. With her sweet and gentle nature, Choonbom is also a great match for first-time dog parents.
