Doosik

• Note: Doosik and his sister, Sena, live in a foster home in Vancouver, BC.

Background: Doosik and his sister, Sena, were rescued from a city pound in Anseong, Korea, last fall. They lived there with their mother and two other siblings before being brought to safety. They stayed at our partner shelter in Korea, living with other dogs until their departure.

Personality and Socialization: Doosik is a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys being around people. He has a friendly and calm demeanor that makes him easy to be around. While he hasn’t had the chance to interact with cats, he gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are gentle and not overly energetic or dominant. Doosik is a laid-back and sociable pup who values companionship and affection without being overly needy.

Behaviors: Doosik is well-behaved and doesn’t have issues with excessive barking or chewing. Although he’s still gaining experience with leash walking, he’s attentive and naturally follows his person’s lead. He’s versatile with potty routines, comfortably using pee pads indoors and enjoying outdoor potty breaks too. Doosik is great in the car, stays calm during vet visits, and handles baths with no fuss.

Health and Diet: Doosik is in excellent health, neutered, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on vaccinations. He has no known allergies or health concerns. He eats dry kibble twice daily and receives regular parasite prevention treatments.

Ideal Home: Doosik would do best in a peaceful, loving environment where someone is home most of the time. He would thrive being adopted alongside his bonded sister, or at least someone who has another friendly dog. A family that works from home, is retired, or has a flexible schedule would be ideal, as Doosik feels more secure when he isn’t left alone for long. With his gentle and loving personality, Doosik would be an incredible companion for anyone seeking a loyal and devoted furry friend. With time and care, he’ll become a cherished member of the family.
