Gamchan

Background: Gamchan was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project this summer. He’s been living at our partner shelter, waiting for his forever family.

Personality and Socialization: Gamchan is a sweetheart who may be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. Once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly affectionate and loving. With his medium energy level and food-motivated personality, Gamchan is not only easy to train but also eager to bond with his humans. He’s great with friendly dogs but prefers to avoid overly bossy or hyper ones. While he hasn’t been exposed to cats or young children, his gentle personality suggests he would adapt well with proper introductions.

Behavior: This smart boy loves to learn and please his humans, quickly picking up commands. Gamchan is quiet indoors and hasn’t shown any destructive behavior. He prefers outdoor potty breaks but can also use indoor pee pads if needed. He’s great with car rides and baths and, while he’s still gaining experience with leash walks, he enjoys following his trusted humans outdoors.

Health and Diet: Gamchan is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He takes monthly Nexgard Spectra for parasite prevention and has tested negative for heartworm and other parasites. He eats dry food twice a day and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Gamchan would thrive with a family that has plenty of time to spend with him. He’d be a wonderful second dog or a perfect match for first-time pet parents. His loving and easygoing personality makes him a great fit for someone who works from home or is retired. Gamchan deserves a family that will give him all the love and attention he craves.
