Get monthly updates about dogs like Giyomi and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Background: Giyomi is one of the fortunate dogs rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, this summer as part of the “Save 100 dogs” project. Since his rescue, he has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house. Giyomi means “cutiepie” in Korean.
Personality and Socialization: Giyomi is a gentle and submissive soul. From the start, he showed a natural disposition for good behavior. Initially a bit shy, he quickly warmed up and is now one of the most affectionate and loving dogs at the boarding house. Giyomi isn’t demanding or dominant; just a little attention makes him so happy that his tail can’t stop wagging. He’s mellow, obedient, and has a calm, medium energy level.
Behavior: Giyomi is quiet indoors—we’ve rarely heard him bark since his rescue. While he may get a bit nervous in the car or during baths, he trusts his humans and lets them handle everything. Giyomi is patient, a great listener, and always eager to please. Though he has limited experience with leash walks, he enjoys being outdoors and following his humans. He’s not destructive and has been consistently well-behaved, earning the love of all the volunteers.
Health and Diet: Giyomi has completed all medical examinations and is in excellent health, ready for her new family. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and receives regular parasite treatments. Giyomi enjoys Acana dry kibbles, made in Canada, and he is fed twice daily. Currently, there are no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Giyomi is a loving, easy-going boy who would thrive in almost any environment. However, we believe he would be happiest with a family who is retired or works from home and has plenty of time to spend with him. Giyomi is most content when he’s with his humans, and his gentle, affectionate nature will undoubtedly bring joy to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
