**Note: Currently, Hani is in Toronto waiting for his forever family.
Background: Hani is a sweet, affectionate boy who was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, last December as part of our “Save 100 Dogs” mission. After living with other dogs at our partner boarding house, he made his way to Toronto, where he’s now in a foster home in the west end, waiting to find his forever family.
Personality: Hani has a calm, easy-going temperament with low to medium energy. He’s a true people’s dog—his favorite thing is being around humans. When someone approaches him, his go-to move is to roll over and offer his belly for rubs. While he can coexist peacefully with other dogs, he’s not interested in playing with them and prefers to avoid overly energetic or pushy dogs. Hani’s heart is all about people.
Behavior: Well-mannered and adaptable, Hani handles vet visits, baths, and car rides with ease. Although he’s still getting used to leash walks, he does well, especially when walking in calm environments. At home, he’s a quiet companion who rarely barks. He loves cozy spots to relax, but when people are nearby, he’ll happily trot over for gentle cuddles and belly rubs.
Health: Hani is healthy and up to date on all his veterinary care. He’s neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He’s tested negative for heartworm and other parasites and takes monthly preventatives. Hani eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Hani would thrive in a quiet home where he can be the center of attention as the only dog. He’s perfect for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need constant activity but adores human connection. Whether you’re a first-time dog parent, a senior seeking a mellow friend, or simply someone who loves a dog that loves people, Hani could be your perfect match.
