Get monthly updates about dogs like Haru and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Background: Haru was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project last fall. Since then, he has been staying at our partner boarding house, where he has coexisted peacefully with other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: Haru is a quiet and docile boy with a calm demeanor. He is gentle with people and enjoys their company, though he may take a little time to build trust. Once comfortable, he loves being close to his humans and thrives on gentle affection. He gets along well with other dogs and would do well in a home with a friendly canine companion or as a solo pup. He has no experience with children or cats.

Behaviour: Haru is well-mannered and easygoing. He is not overly energetic and prefers a peaceful environment. He handles car rides and baths with ease and is generally quiet, rarely barking. While he is still getting used to leash walking, he is attentive to his people and eager to learn.

Health and Care: Haru has received full veterinary care, including vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, and parasite prevention. He is in excellent health and eats dry kibble twice a day.

Ideal Home: Haru would thrive in a calm and loving home where he can feel safe and build confidence at his own pace. An adopter who works from home or is retired would be ideal, as he enjoys companionship and being close to his people. While he’s still young and learning, Haru is intelligent and eager to please, making him a wonderful dog to train and bond with. Whether as a solo pet or a companion to another friendly pup, Haru is ready to bring warmth, joy, and unconditional love to his forever family.
