Heungsoo

Background: Heungsoo was rescued as a puppy in 2021 from a small village in Paju, Korea. Since then, he has been living in a shelter with other dogs, waiting for his forever home. It’s surprising that a dog as sweet, playful, and handsome as Heungsoo hasn’t received much attention. We truly hope to find him a loving family where he can finally belong.

Personality and Socialization: Heungsoo is a bit nervous and shy at first, but soon warms up and becomes curious, showing his friendly and affectionate side toward people. He loves to greet everyone!

With other dogs, Heungsoo is social and playful, especially with those around his size. He enjoys running around and engaging in fun, energetic play. However, he has no experience with cats or young children.

Behaviour: Heungsoo is well-behaved when it comes to grooming—he enjoys baths, brushing, and trimming. While he can get nervous in the car or in unfamiliar places, he adjusts with time and patience.

His leash-walking experience is limited, as he has mostly played freely in an outdoor shelter setting. When volunteers take him for walks, he follows along but may get nervous in new environments or when cars pass by.

Health and Diet: Heungsoo is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats kibble and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Heungsoo would do best with an adopter who has experience with rescue dogs and understands how to build trust with a shy but loving pup. He will thrive in a quiet home with a patient and understanding family, preferably in a calm neighborhood rather than a busy city. A home with a fenced backyard would be ideal, as he may find apartment life overwhelming. If there’s another friendly dog in the home, it would greatly help Heungsoo build confidence and feel more secure.

He may still have some learning to do, but this gentle and affectionate boy is so worth the time and love. Whoever adopts Heungsoo will gain a loyal and loving companion for life.
