Hwang-do is one of the five puppies, rescued by local animal rights activits just before being sold to a dog meat seller in Sacheon, a small city located in south of Korea. Since then she has been living at a small private shelter run by the Buddhist nun, Cheong Sol.

Hwang-do is available for adoption on Dec. 10 at PS9 Pet Store at 169 N. 9th St. in Brooklyn from 12 to 6 p.m.
