** Note: Jace is currently in Korea but will be flying to Toronto on April 19. We are looking for his forever home in the Toronto area.
Background: Jace was rescued from a city pound in Gongju, Korea last fall. He was found sitting in a filthy small cage, waiting for a family that sadly never came. Just days before he was scheduled for euthanasia, Jace was rescued and moved to a private shelter. He eventually joined our program and is now ready to find his forever home in Canada.
Personality and Socialization: Jace is a young Jindo with medium energy. For his age, he’s actually quite calm and easygoing. He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs, especially those who match his size and energy level. He gets along well with pretty much everyone he meets.
When it comes to people, Jace is social and sweet. He’s generally not shy around strangers and loves being around people. He has no experience with children or cats.
Behaviours: Car rides and vet visits have been smooth—he’s been calm and cooperative. Bath time isn’t his favorite, but he tolerates it. He prefers doing his business outside but will use pee pads if needed.
Jace has limited leash-walking experience but follows his human well. He may feel a little nervous in busy or unfamiliar environments at first. At home, he’s typically quiet and relaxed.
Health and Diet: When Jace was rescued, he tested positive for anaplasmosis, a tick-borne illness. He has since completed treatment and is now healthy and thriving. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats kibble twice a day and hasn’t shown any signs of allergies.
Ideal Home: Jace is a young, sweet, and loving boy who thrives on companionship. He would do best in a calm home where someone is around most of the time—perhaps a retired couple or someone who works from home. He loves spending time with his humans and would be so happy to be included in daily life. Having another playful, friendly dog in the home would be a big bonus for Jace—he really enjoys doggy company.
Jace is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Jace is $780.
Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $140 USD.
