*Note: Jelly arrives in Toronto on Nov 25. We are looking for his forever home in GTA.

Background: Jelly is one of the 21 brave dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea, this spring. Since his rescue, he has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house, where he’s been waiting for his forever home.

Personality and Socialization: Jelly earned his sweet name because he truly embodies it – he’s soft, sweet, and mellow. With a medium energy level, Jelly is friendly and gentle. His love for people shines through, as his favorite activity is hanging out with his humans. Jelly loves to snuggle and shower you with affection – he’s a big, lovable cuddle bug. When Jelly was younger, he sometimes felt jealous around other dogs, but he’s since learned to get along well with them. He’d still be happiest as the only dog, where he can soak up all the love and attention, but he’d also be comfortable as a second dog in a caring home.

Behaviours: Despite his young age, Jelly is a fast learner. He pays close attention and is eager to please his humans. He’s OK with car rides, baths, and nail clipping. Although he doesn’t like them, he will patiently allow his humans to take care of him. Jelly likes going out for a walk, but in new environments, he will get cautious and a bit nervous until he gets comfortable. Jelly doesn’t have experience with cats or young children.

Health and Diet: Jelly is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He takes monthly preventatives for both internal and external parasites and enjoys a diet of kibble twice a day, with no known allergies so far. This healthy boy is ready and eager to find his forever home.

Ideal Home: Jelly’s ideal adopter is someone who works from home or is retired, with plenty of time to spend with him. He thrives on human companionship and loves being close to his people. While Jelly would be happiest as the only pet, where he can receive all the love and attention, he’ll be fine with another gentle easygoing dog companion.
