Get monthly updates about dogs like Johnnie and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Background: Johnnie was rescued at just about two months old alongside his two sisters. While his sisters were adopted into loving homes, this poor baby has spent the past two years living in a shelter, waiting for his forever family. Despite this long wait, his gentle and hopeful spirit has remained unchanged.

Personality and Socialization: Johnnie is a gentleman with a warm and affectionate personality. He loves meeting new people and even greets volunteers with gentle kisses upon first introduction. He easily forms positive connections with people. Johnnie also gets along well with other dogs, regardless of their size. He particularly enjoys the company of friendly dogs with good manners. Johnnie has limited experiences with young children and cats.

Behavior: He walks well on a leash without pulling much, even with unfamiliar people by his side. While car rides initially made him nervous, causing drooling and mild motion sickness, he has shown improvement with more experience. With consistent practice, he is likely to become more comfortable. His love for outdoor adventures, treats, and affectionate pats makes him a wonderful companion ready for shared adventures.

Health and Diet: Johnnie is in excellent health. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and heartworm-tested. He has no known medical issues or allergies and enjoys a regular diet of dry food twice a day.

Ideal Home: Johnnie would thrive in a loving, patient home where he can continue to learn and adapt to life outside the shelter. An ideal home for Johnnie would be with a family enjoying a relaxed lifestyle, perhaps working from home or retired, who can spend plenty of quality time with him. Having another friendly dog in the home would be a bonus, though not essential. Having spent most of his life in shelter kennels, Johnnie hasn’t experienced much of the world yet. With love and patience, he’ll become a loyal, devoted companion.

Johnnie is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Johnnie is $780.

Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $140 USD.
