Background: Joyoung was rescued from rural Paju after being found roaming the streets and narrowly avoiding euthanasia at a city pound. He has been under foster care since January, likely until July, he lives with a gentle dog in an apartment with a small yard.

Personality and Socialization: Joyoung is extremely shy around strangers and in new environments. He is gentle, submissive, and very quiet, never exhibiting aggression or getting into fights with other dogs. He is wary of sudden movements and loud noises but seeks comfort by snuggling close and enjoys sleeping alongside his human companions.

Behaviors: Joyoung prefers outdoor potty breaks and would benefit from regular walks. Initially fearful of going outside, he now loves walks, though loud noises still startle him. He has limited experience with car rides and generally feels nervous. While he tolerates baths, he dislikes the hair dryer. He is very quiet indoors and has shown no separation anxiety so far.

Health and Diet: Joyoung has undergone thorough veterinary care, including vaccinations and microchipping, and receives monthly parasite preventatives. He enjoys regular dry food with no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Joyoung thrives in a calm environment and would flourish with a patient family willing to help him build confidence. Previous experience with shy dogs would be needed. Ideally, a home with another gentle dog could provide comfort, as he is more relaxed in their company. A quiet neighborhood with a fenced backyard would be ideal. A loving owner who understands his fearful nature and provides gentle guidance will help him adjust and thrive.

Joyoung is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Joyoung is $780.
