Background: Luchae was rescued from euthanasia in Paju, Korea, in 2019. Initially adopted by her temporary foster family, she was sadly surrendered after six months. While Luchae got along well with her adoptive family’s young children, she guarded them when there were visitors. Since then, Luchae has been living with other dogs at a shelter.

Socialization and Personality: Luchae can be shy when meeting new people, but her curiosity soon takes over, and she’ll cautiously approach to check things out. Though her natural demeanor is reserved, Luchae has a tender side that blooms with trust, offering sweet kisses and affection once she gets comfortable with people.

Luchae gets along well with other dogs but prefers calm, gentle ones. She has a quiet, confident nature and doesn’t enjoy being around overly hyper energetic dogs.

Behaviours: Luchae enjoys her walks, though she may feel a little nervous in unfamiliar surroundings. She’s comfortable with car rides and bath time but prefers not to be picked up suddenly. She tolerates being handled when putting on her harness or wearing clothes.

Luchae is independent and happy to relax in her own space. She has shown no separation anxiety and prefers to go potty outside.

Health and Diet: Luchae is in good health. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date vaccinated. She enjoys her regular dry food twice daily but can be a bit picky with snacks, so finding her favorites might take some trial and error. Luchae is heartworm-free, parasite-free, and takes monthly preventative treatments to stay healthy.

Ideal Home: Luchae would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands her initial shyness and gives her the time she needs to feel secure. A family with experience in caring for rescue dogs would be ideal. She’d enjoy having a backyard for peaceful playtime and would do well either as a solo pet or with a calm, respectful canine companion.

Her perfect match will value her gentle and curious nature, letting her blossom at her own pace. With patience and love, Luchae will reveal her sweet and affectionate heart.

Luchae is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Luchae is $580.
