Luka

Background: Luka is one of the lucky dogs rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project this winter. After his rescue, he found safety and care at our partner boarding house, living peacefully alongside other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: Luka is an affectionate, playful, and social boy with mid-high energy. He absolutely adores being with people, soaking up cuddles, and being the center of attention. While he’s not overly interested in interacting with other dogs, he coexists peacefully with them. Luka’s affectionate nature means he sometimes gets a little jealous when other dogs receive attention, often seeking pets and reassurance from his humans instead.

Behaviour: Luka is easygoing when he’s with his people. He handles car rides and baths well, trusting his humans to guide him. He loves outdoor adventures like walks and enjoys exploring, though new environments can make him a bit nervous at first. With some patience, Luka warms up quickly and happily follows his humans’ lead.

Health and Diet: Luka is in good health following a full veterinary checkup. While he was treated for anaplasmosis after his rescue, he has completed his treatment and is now healthy and happy. Luka is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and he takes monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Luka would thrive in a loving home where he’s showered with attention. His affectionate and playful nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who works from home or is retired. Luka would likely do best as the only dog in the household so he can enjoy all the love and snuggles for himself.
