Background: Martha is one of the lucky survivors of a heartbreaking puppy mill in Namyangju, Korea, rescued earlier this spring. When she was rescued, Martha was pregnant and soon gave birth to her puppies while living in a foster home. Now, she’s staying at our partner boarding house, where she shares her space with other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: Martha is an absolute sweetheart—gentle, loving, and eager to be close to people. She’s friendly with everyone, whether it’s men, women, or strangers, and her sociable nature shines through. However, when it comes to other dogs, Martha is quite indifferent. She coexists peacefully but doesn’t show interest in playing with them. What truly makes Martha happy is being with people—her eyes light up when she’s around her humans.

Behaviors: While Martha has limited experience walking on a leash, she’s very willing to follow and trust her people. In new environments, she might feel a little nervous, but with the right support, she’ll settle in. Martha is well-behaved during baths and vet visits, and she’s pee pad trained. She’s also generally quiet indoors, making her a calm and easy companion.

Health and Diet: Martha is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and receives monthly parasite prevention. She had hernia surgery and also a C-section. She is now healthy and ready for her forever home.

Ideal Home: Martha’s perfect home would be one where her people are around most of the time. A calm, quiet environment and a relaxed lifestyle would suit her best. Martha has been through so much, and she deserves a home where she’ll be cherished and taken everywhere. This precious girl has so much love to give and deserves nothing less than a life filled with love and care.

Martha is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Martha is $780.
