Background: Miyo was found abandoned in the rural area of Paju and reported as a stray. He was at risk of euthanasia but was fortunately rescued. He currently lives in a private shelter.

Personality and Socialization: Miyo adores people and has a typical Maltese temperament: sociable, smart, affectionate and loyal. He can be expressive when he dislikes something and has shown a bit of nervousness or fear when suddenly picked up, though he has never bitten. He likes to stay close to his humans and has shown no fear of men, though he is unfamiliar with children. Miyo has a medium-low energy level.

Behaviors: Miyo isn’t particularly close to other dogs but coexists well with them without avoiding or disliking their company. He enjoys walks, though he pulls slightly on the leash. He handles baths well. Initially, he may appear slightly anxious, possibly due to frequent changes in his environment, and he can be startled by sudden movements of dark objects.

Health and Diet: Miyo is a healthy and happy dog who has completed all his vaccinations, receives regular preventative treatments for internal and external parasites, and is microchipped and neutered. Miyo’s bark is a bit unique! His previous owner had a procedure to make his bark softer and lower than other dogs. This doesn’t affect his health at all.

When Miyo was rescued, he had bladder stones and underwent surgery to remove them. He has fully recovered and is now in great health. To prevent future issues, we recommend feeding him kibble that supports urinary health, such as Royal Canin Urinary SO. Miyo is ready to find his forever home where he can continue to thrive.

Ideal Home: Miyo would thrive in a calm and stable home environment. Since he prefers to stay close to his human, he would be a perfect match for someone working from home or retired. Miyo is house-trained to use pads indoors and enjoys short walks outdoors without marking. He is a sweet, smart, and loving companion. Whoever adopts this cutie will be very lucky!
