Pori

Background: Pori was rescued from a neglectful pet shop owner, where he and seven other dogs were confined to a tiny, dark room with no sunlight. Since his rescue, he has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house.

Personality and Socialization: Pori is an affectionate and friendly boy with a high energy level. He’s very social and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those around his size. Pori is not shy around strangers or men and loves being around people. He’s an adorable companion who will shower you with love and plenty of kisses. While he has no experience with cats or young children, he’s always eager to make new friends.

Behavior: Pori is well-behaved in the car, often settling down and falling asleep quietly during rides. He also does great at the vet and handles baths and grooming well. Having spent much of his early life confined in a dark room, Pori has had limited experience with leash walks, as the pet shop owner never let him outside. Despite this, Pori has adapted well, showing no destructive behaviors and using indoor pee pads. He continues to adjust smoothly to new environments and routines.

Health and Diet: Pori has undergone all necessary medical examinations and is in good health, ready for his new family. He is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and receives regular parasite treatments. Pori currently eats dry kibble twice a day. He does have some tear stains, so we recommend switching to hypoallergenic kibble to help manage that.

Ideal Home: Pori is a sweetheart who thrives on being around people. His ideal home would be with a family where someone is home most of the time—whether that’s someone working from home or retired with the flexibility to spend plenty of time with him. Pori is smart and eager to learn, and although he’s inexperienced with leash walks, a patient family who can help him grow and adapt will be a perfect match for this lovable companion.
