Poseul

Background: Poseul was rescued last December from a city pound as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project. Since his rescue, he has been living at our partner boarding house, where he has been preparing for his forever home. Despite everything he has been through, Poseul remains a happy and affectionate dog, always ready to share his joy with the world.

Personality and Socialization: Poseul is an affectionate, playful, and happy boy with a medium-to-high energy level. He absolutely loves his toys and enjoys entertaining himself, making him quite independent. He is friendly, easygoing, and not shy around strangers, always eager to meet new people. His curious nature makes him enthusiastic about exploring new places and experiences.

When it comes to other dogs, Poseul prefers to coexist peacefully rather than engage in play. While he is social and gets along well with other dogs, he tends to keep to himself and does not seek out interactions with them. He avoids conflicts and enjoys a relaxed, drama-free environment, making him an excellent companion for a calm and peaceful household.

Behaviour: Poseul is well-behaved in various situations and enjoys being around people. He does well in the car, during baths, and at vet visits, always remaining cooperative and happy to receive attention. He loves spending time outdoors and enjoys exploring new environments, although his experience with leash walking has been somewhat limited. Despite this, he is eager to learn and will likely adapt quickly with regular walks.

Inside the home, Poseul is a quiet and independent dog. He does not bark excessively and is content keeping himself entertained with his toys. His ability to play on his own makes him a great companion for someone who may not always be able to engage with him but still wants a loving and affectionate dog by their side.

Health and Diet: When Poseul was rescued, he had anaplasmosis, but, he completed his treatment and is now healthy. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he has undergone a full veterinary checkup. He gained weight at the previous shelter, so he also underwent hormone testing, but everything came back normal. The vet confirmed that regular exercise is all he needs to get back into shape.

Ideal Home: Poseul is a goofy, happy-go-lucky boy who will bring joy and laughter to any home. He would thrive in a household with an adopter who enjoys outdoor adventures, as he loves exploring and staying active. His easygoing and independent nature makes him a great fit for a variety of households, including first-time dog owners.
