Remmy

Background: Remmy was one of seven poodles rescued from a farm last fall, where they had been chained and neglected—likely hidden away by a suspected puppy mill owner. Thankfully, they were saved and brought to a private shelter, where they spent a few months recovering and socializing. Earlier this year, Remmy moved to our boarding house and lived with other dogs until he left Korea. Currently, he lives in a foster home in Toronto.

Personality and Socialization: Remmy is a smart, affectionate, and friendly poodle with a mellow, medium energy level. She’s sweet and social, never shy around strangers, but she does get nervous if someone suddenly reaches for her head. She’s also wary of overly bossy or hyper dogs. With a gentle and patient approach, Remmy will blossom into a loving and loyal companion.

Behaviour: Remmy is well-mannered in the car, during baths, and at vet visits. She is generally quiet but may bark a little at mealtime, excited for her food. While her leash-walking experience is limited, she follows her handler well and is eager to learn. Overall, she is a sweet and affectionate girl who adapts well to new environments.

Health and Diet: Remmy is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She had heartworms when rescued but has completed her treatment and is now healthy. She receives monthly parasite preventatives, and all her tests, including heartworm, are negative. She eats dry kibble twice daily and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Remmy thrives in a home where she can be with her people most of the time—whether with someone retired or working from home. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, she would be happiest as the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention in a peaceful environment. This affectionate, cuddly girl is ready to bring endless joy to whoever is lucky enough to welcome her home.
