** Note: Salgoo is currently in Korea, but we are seeking her forever home in the Greater Vancouver Area. Her flight to Vancouver is scheduled for August 24.
Background: Last year, Salgoo was rescued from a puppy mill in Jinan, Korea, where she lived in a cramped and filthy cage, deprived of light and comfort. After enduring a life of darkness and forced breeding for profit, her story is one of resilience and hope. She now resides with other small dogs at our partner boarding house.
Personality and Socialization: Salgoo is known for her friendly, playful, and affectionate nature. She enjoys the company of both dogs and people and gets along well with other small dogs. Although she has limited experience with larger breeds, she has shown that she can thrive around gentle and friendly dogs. Salgoo loves to snuggle and seeks attention from her humans. While she is comfortable around men, she has not been exposed to young children or cats yet.
Behaviors: Salgoo is in the process of learning to use pee pads and is improving daily. She is still getting accustomed to walking on a leash but enjoys playing outside and relaxing in the sun. She loves toys, doesn’t mind baths or grooming, and is fine during car rides.
Health: Salgoo has received comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations and microchipping. She also gets monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites to ensure her health. Salgoo had patella luxation surgery in May. She is now healthy and ready for her forever home.
Ideal Home: The ideal home for Salgoo would be with someone who works from home or is retired, allowing for plenty of quality time together. Patience will be essential as she adjusts to her new environment, but the love and loyalty she brings are invaluable.
