Get monthly updates about dogs like Sangshil and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Background: Sangshil was rescued from a puppy mill in Namyangju, Korea, earlier this year. She lived in a confined, dirty cage with no light. Enduring a life of darkness and forced breeding for profit, Sangshil’s journey is one of resilience and hope. Currently, she lives with other small dogs at our partner boarding house.

Personality and Socialization: Sangshil is a playful and confident dog who exudes affection, happiness, and cheerfulness. She loves being around people and enjoys hanging out with her human companions. Smart, obedient, and loyal, Sangshil is a delight to have around. Sangshil seeks attention and loves snuggles and petting. Although she is comfortable with people including men, she has not been exposed to young children or cats.

While Sangshil gets along well with small dogs, her experience with larger breeds is limited. She can be a bit bossy and has a good appetite, preferring not to share her snacks or meals.

Behaviors: Sangshil is still learning to use pee-pads and is getting better at it. While she’s getting used to walking on a leash, she doesn’t have much experience yet but enjoys playing outside and relaxing. She likes toys, doesn’t mind baths or grooming, and is okay with car rides.

Health and Diet: Having undergone thorough veterinary care, including vaccinations and microchipping, Sangshil receives monthly internal and external parasite preventatives to ensure her well-being. When she was rescued, she had some skin problems, but now they have healed. She enjoys regular dry food with no known allergies so far.

Ideal Home: An ideal match for Sangshil would be an individual who works from home or is retired, providing ample quality time for their cherished furry companion. Patience is crucial as Sangshil acclimatizes to her new surroundings, but the love and loyalty she offers in return are truly priceless. Sangshil will be happier if she is the only dog and gets all the attention and love. She is a very smart and affectionate girl. Whoever adopts this baby will be very lucky.
