Tooba

Background: Tooba was rescued this past May from a terrible puppy mill in Namyangju, South Korea. This sweet girl spent her entire life confined to a dark, filthy cage, used only for breeding puppies sold to pet shops until her rescue. Since then, she’s set foot on solid ground for the first time and now lives with other small dogs at our partner boarding house.

Personality & Socialization: Despite her tough past, Tooba hasn’t lost her loving, gentle spirit. She’s a friendly and very affectionate girl who adores humans, showing warmth even to strangers. Tooba also enjoys hanging out with other gentle, calm dogs like herself. She hasn’t yet been around small children or cats.

Behavior: Tooba is naturally affectionate and loves spending time with her people. Her calm and gentle nature makes her vet visits smooth, and she handles car rides well, though she can be a bit nervous. She’s also well-behaved during baths. Leash walking is new to her, but she follows well and will keep improving with time. Tooba is currently pee pad trained.

Health and Diet: Tooba has received thorough veterinary care, including vaccinations, microchipping, and spaying. When rescued last spring, she tested positive for heartworms, but she completed her treatment and is now heartworm-free. Sadly, Tooba was devocalized by her previous owner; while she can still bark, her voice is lower and huskier than most dogs. She’s otherwise healthy, happy, and full of life! Tooba currently eats dry kibble twice a day and shows no signs of allergies.

Ideal Home: Gentle Tooba is ready for her forever home! She would thrive with a family who’s home most of the time and eager to give her all the love she deserves. With her sweet personality, Tooba would be the perfect companion for someone who can be with her full-time as she doesn’t like to be separated from her humans. She’s ready to fill her new family’s life with love!
