Toobi

Background: Toobi and her sister Tooba were rescued this past May from a puppy mill in Namyangju, South Korea, where they were forced to breed for human profit. Until their rescue, their world consisted of nothing but a small, dark, and filthy cage, living a life of suffering as mere puppy carriers. Thankfully, Tooba found her forever home in Toronto, Canada, this past November, and now it’s Toobi’s turn to find her loving family. Toobi is currently at our partner boarding house, surrounded by other fur buddies she was rescued with, patiently waiting for her chance at a new life.

Personality and Socialization: Toobi is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys being around people the most. She’s friendly with strangers and loves getting attention. While she gets along well with other gentle dogs, her favorite thing is spending time with her humans and exploring her new life. She plays nicely with dogs that are kind and not too bossy. Toobi hasn’t been around cats or young children yet

Behaviour: Toobi is a loving, affectionate girl that also does well independently, showing no signs of separation anxiety or any destructive behaviors. She likes to take care of her potty business outside and does well with leash walking. Although car rides are new for her, she handles them well patiently, and quietly. Her people-loving personality makes her vet visits easy and even bath times are great.

Health and Diet: When Toobi was rescued, she was diagnosed with heartworms, but she completed her treatment and is now heartworm-free. She then underwent spay surgery, during which the vet discovered an intestinal stricture. Thankfully, the surgery went well, too. Recently, we did an ultrasound and bloodwork, and we’re happy to share that Toobi has fully recovered and is now healthy and thriving!

Toobi is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She thrives on a diet of dry kibble twice a day, with no signs of allergies.

Ideal Home: Toobi is a loving, people-oriented dog who thrives on human companionship. She would be happiest with a family where someone is home most of the time, whether they’re retired or working from home. While having a gentle fur sibling would be a bonus, it’s not essential as long as she has her human by her side. Since she is sensitive to noises, we prefer a detached house rather than a condo.

Toobi would do best in a quiet home with a relaxed lifestyle where she can be the center of attention, showered with love and affection. If you’re looking for a devoted companion, Toobi is ready to fill your home with warmth and joy!
