Background: Toto is one of the 101 dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Siheung, Korea. When she was first rescued, she was timid and withdrawn. For the first year, she was so timid that no one could even touch her. However, by the second year, Toto began to show progress, giving us hope. To help her further, she was enrolled in a dog training program, where she spent a year working on her confidence and social skills. Toto graduated successfully and has since blossomed into a wonderful companion. She now walks on a leash, socializes with other dogs, and currently lives with canine friends at our partner boarding house.

Socialization and Personality: Toto can be shy at first in new environments but warms up with time. With her medium energy level, she is obedient, loyal and loves following her humans. Toto is mellow, gentle, and friendly with most people, including men, as she’s used to interacting with male trainers and shelter staff.

When it comes to other dogs, Toto does well with friendly, calm, and gentle companions. She’s not a fan of overly hyper or dominant dogs but enjoys hanging out with those who match her easy-going personality. She has no experience with cats and young children.

Behaviors: Toto walks nicely on a leash, although she may feel cautious in unfamiliar settings. She’s a quiet girl and rarely barks, except for an adorable “happy bark” during mealtimes. Toto handles baths, vet visits, and car rides fine. She is fully house-trained and doesn’t display any signs of separation anxiety or destructive behaviors when left alone.

Health and Diet: Toto is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite prevention and is in great health. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Toto will thrive in a quiet home with a family who enjoys a peaceful lifestyle and lives in a calm neighborhood. Her ideal adopter would have prior experience with dogs and the patience to guide her as she adjusts to her new life. Although Toto has limited life experience outside of the training school and shelter, she is a sweet and mellow girl who will reward her family with unwavering loyalty and love.

Toto is ready for her forever home and would make a devoted companion for the right family.
