Background: Vi was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon this spring as part of the Save 100 Dogs project. Since his rescue, he has been living at our partner shelter, receiving love, care, and socialization. Now, this loving boy is ready to find his forever home.
Personality and Socialization: Vi is an affectionate, intelligent, and protective dog with a natural alpha-like personality around other dogs. While smart, loyal, and loving with humans, Vi thrives in a home with experienced dog owners who can provide confident leadership. He is generally good with people, including strangers, but may take some time to warm up to certain men. He usually bonds quickly with women.
When it comes to other dogs, Vi isn’t particularly playful, but he gets along well with calm, non-assertive dogs. His main focus is on his human companions, and he prefers quality time with them over playing with other dogs.
Behavior: Vi is well-behaved and eager to please, especially when given clear guidance. Vi walks well on a leash, stays close to his human, and is comfortable with car rides, vet visits, and grooming.
Barking is occasional but can be triggered by unfamiliar men or protective instincts. However, Vi is adaptable and a quick learner. He has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behaviors.
Health and Care: When Vi was rescued, he had heartworms but has since completed treatment and is now heartworm-free. He also underwent hernia surgery and has fully recovered. Vi is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He takes monthly internal and external parasite preventatives. After thorough health checkups, Vi is now healthy and ready for his forever home. With no known allergies or dietary restrictions, he enjoys dry kibble and has a hearty appetite.
Ideal Home: Vi would thrive in a calm, relaxing home with experienced owners. Someone living a laid-back lifestyle who wants a loving, loyal fur companion would be an excellent match for Vi. He is ready to share his unwavering loyalty and affection with the right family.
