Yejoo was found roaming the streets, likely abandoned. We know she once had a home who cared enough to have her microchipped. However, when scanned the phone number was not registered, and there was no effort or people who came forward looking for a missing dog. After failing to reunite her with her lost family, she was scheduled to be euthanized. She currently lives with a foster family in Korea.

Yejoo seems to enjoy going for walks, but is a bit agoraphobic in open spaces. She also gets nervous in the car, elevator, and busy streets. When she gets scared, she wants to be picked up and held. Additionally, she is afraid of the groomer, so her foster gives her trims at home.

Among her favorite things are meal time, treats, and spending time with people. Yejoo is social and friendly with everyone. One time, a delivery man gave her some treats, and she wanted to follow him back to his car. With dogs, she is indifferent, and would prefer to be the only dog so she can have undivided attention with her humans.

Yejoo is pee pad trained, and currently prefers to use them since she sometimes gets scared outdoors. Indoors, she is very well behaved and is not destructive with her foster. She will bark to communicate and let you know what she wants. She will do so when she is hungry, or when she hears a noise outside.

Yejoo was born with a narrow trachea (but not a collapsing trachea). Her adopters should be using a harness with her rather than a collar. She was also diagnosed with stage 2 patellar luxation, but the vet did not think surgery was required and instead advised supplements and regular exercise. She walks without issue and doesn’t show any signs of discomfort. We have also noticed sensitivities she has with beef, milk, and cat hair.

Yejoo’s ideal home is one where her humans have the time to spend with her during the day, as being around people is among her favorite things.  She would prefer a quieter neighborhood, and humans who can take her on leisurely walks.
