** Note: Youlmoo is seeking his forever home in the GTA! Meet him at PetSmart (158 N Queen St, Toronto) on March 29. Apply now—interviews start in the 3rd week of March.
Background: Rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of our Save 100 Dogs project, Youlmoo has endured more hardship than any dog should. Weak and defenseless, he was attacked multiple times by other dogs, suffering injuries to his eyes, neck, and belly. When we found him, he was covered in blood, with no one to protect him. We rushed him to safety, and he spent two weeks in the hospital recovering from his wounds. Now healed, Youlmoo has been patiently waiting at our boarding house, hoping for a family to call his own. Youlmoo arrives in Toronto on Mar 25.
Personality and Socialization: Youlmoo is a gentle, affectionate, and loving boy who adores people. He’s wonderful with other calm, submissive dogs but is understandably wary of dominant or overly energetic dogs due to his past trauma. His favorite thing in the world is simply being with his humans—whether snuggled up beside you or tagging along for an outing.
Behaviour: Youlmoo is well-mannered, easy to care for, and non-destructive. He enjoys car rides, tolerates baths well, and walks beautifully on a leash. He loves the outdoors but is also quiet and relaxed inside—he rarely barks. He is potty trained, using both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty breaks.
Health and Diet: After he was rescued, Youlmoo underwent cherry eye surgery on his right eye and has recovered completely. Now, he’s in good health and ready for his forever home. He is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Youlmoo is looking for a calm, loving home where he is cherished as a true family member. He thrives on companionship and would love to be included in everyday activities—whether it’s a peaceful walk, a cozy café visit, or simply lounging at home. He would be happiest with someone who can spend lots of time with him and make him feel safe and loved.
